Use Case

Detailed steps for testing and using a solution

Use cases provide development stakeholders with user interaction steps to accomplish a task in a solution. Each step has enough detail to verify the use case meets its requirement.

Use Case Example

A use case for a business analyst creating a process diagram:

  1. Create a process diagram. A blank canvas appears.

  2. Put one or more boxes on the canvas representing activities.

  3. Label each box with its activity.

  4. Draw an arrow from a box, optionally, to another box.

  5. Label each arrow with the input, output, or condition connecting activities.

  6. Drill down from a box to create a new diagram with step details.

  7. Save the process diagram.
